I used to love Kunde's wines, especially the Magnolia Lane sauvignon blanc, and I really appreciated their modest cost. But I visited a month ago and tasted through their current releases -- the Magnolia Lane was lamentably absent -- and I went from being disappointed to appalled, both by the exorbitant pricing and by weird "off" flavors like nail polish remover and soap. I thought it might be my glass, so I asked for a fresh one, but I (and my wife) continued to be shocked at how the appealing price/quality ratio at Kunde seems to have been utterly reversed. We left with a sad feeling in our hearts. I feel that in this competition it doesn't have a chance against Honig.

Great concept...thanks for the introduction to the same varietal from different areas...I think the manner in which these wines were made or treated might explain some of the differences the Honig is very clean where for my taste the Kunde has developed more characterand depth, a friendlier wine..

Thanks for the challenge.
